Sunday Inspriation

So, It was my turn to go to church...Mark and I are taking turns staying home with Ty and Noah. We don't want to risk getting Noah sick, and the nursery has got to be the biggest germ network in the known universe. I digress. The Relief Society lesson was on the conference talk given by President Eyring called Oh, Remember Remember. The sister giving the lesson talked about writing down three things we are thankful for everyday, sort of like Oprah's gratitude journal from a few years back, only recognizing that those things come from God. I remember trying it for a few days way back when, but I am going to start again today and see if I can stick to it. I know the hymn is true, "Count your blessings name them one by one, and it will surprise you what the Lord hath done". I think I'll start by listing some things I love, and hence am grateful for, btw, these are in no particular order...

Mark's laugh
Clean socks
The smell of my kids after a bath
Rain
A hot shower
Clean sheets
Date night
Talking with friends
Family get togethers
Sam's toothless grin
Devin's wit
The color Pink
James Blunt
Sting
A good book
Snail Mail
Pictures of my kids
laughing so hard I cry
Chili's Molten Chocolate Cake
Watching movies with Mark
Ty's kisses
Noah's smell and little snore
Road trips
Milk Duds
New clothes
Folding laundry
A clean bathroom
Walking/running
The Boys' laughter
The Office

I could go on, and on....The things I am thankful for that stand out today are: (1) Letters from Mark, I had two stuck in my scriptures that I read during Sacrement Meeting and they made me cry. (2) A healthy baby, Noah was born 5 weeks early so his lungs weren't developed and he had to stay in the NICU for a few days. (3) Good movies I can watch with my boys. There are so many things we don't want the boys to watch, that it is so nice to have a funny, somewhat corny movie like The RM or Sons of Provo, to watch and not have to worry about swearing and nudity and all that crap.
P.S. Thanks to Mandy I have started this blog. I never had the desire until I got on and read hers. It is a lot of fun, but I can see how the house could fall down around me as I sit and put my thoughts out there into the universe...

I love it! Fun, hu! I have been thinking about YOU and how I haven't helped YOU enough! You scrubbed my cabinets till they sparkle and cleaned the boys' bathroom. Believe me, sister, that is more than enough! Love you!
