At the risk of causing her public humiliation, I have decided to post about my sister Mandy this Mother's Day. I thank her from the bottom of my heart for being the most wonderful, giving, caring, selfless, patient & faithful mother and wife. Over the past two-and-a-half years she has taken on the burden, stress, pain, and annoyance of cancer. (I have a few four letter words for that disease-but, I digress.) Travis is the last person on the face of this earth who should have to go through this horrible trial. But, I am so thankful he has Mandy by his side. She is a blessing to him, and to all of us. I know I am a better mother and wife because of the example she has set these past few years.
I am struggling because I'm the big sister. I'm supposed to be the one helping her, being an example for her, protecting her. Not the other way around! But, she truly has always been the big sister in spirit. I know part of Heavenly Father's plan was to allow me to learn from her. I see her dealing with things that no 35 year old mother of four should have to deal with. And yet, she does it with an amazing strength and faith.
I love you, Mandy, and I will be forever grateful to you for the things you are teaching me.

Well I feel really special today, to be served dinner when you should have had the day off, and then this! (Among all of the other things you have done and are doing for me!) You're the bestest big sister a gal could have- and an awesome example! I love you!
She really is wonderful. As are you, I couldn't have married into a better family. The love, sacrifices, and examples are amazing.
Amen, and Amen!! Couldn't agree more. She is one special gal! I'm lucky to have 4 awesome sisters who are great moms and great people.
My sister has produced some of THE most kind, caring, resilient, loving, spiritual, fun kids ever!! Who would have thought...:) You all are a shining example of the goodness found in this world.
Amy - You are pretty incredible yourself. I loved your testimony yesterday. Infact, I was telling Trav lastnight, that my dream is to look like you when I share my testimony. I have the "ugly-cry face" and you look nothing but graceful!! You're an amazing example. I am so, so sorry that your family is going through this. A quote that someone sent me recently that really touched me, and is so true - by Pres. Harold B. Lee. "Don't be afraid of the testing and trials in life. Sometimes when you are going through the most severe tests, you will be nearer to God than you have any idea." Praying for comfort and peace for you and your family! Please let me know if I can do anything. If you need someone to watch that sweet baby while you help family....let me be the first call you make! I would love that!
Those Keime girls are pretty amazing. I was reading Mandy's blog....hope she doesn't mind. She is amazing. We are including them in our prayers. Life is so hard to understand. YOu are a special gift as well Amy. I am blessed to know you and call you a friend.
She is great! All y'all are pretty awesome!
I have also been thinking a lot about that cute Mandy and Travis family and how I cannot imagine the struggle. I'm praying for them---along with the hundreds (maybe more) Love to all!
